The double dilute color known as Champagne is pretty rare and comes in multiple shades, from almost total cream to a deep amber gold at its darkest. This pretty mare shows off a striking Amber Champagne coat with all the attributes associated with this color: lavender pink skin, light hazel eyes and multi hued mane and tail. As I painted her I thought of her as a Lusitano, Quarter Horse cross. Since the true Champagne color is associated with American breeds, this cross made sense to me.
This is a custom painted Traditional Breyer model. All noticeable seams, logos and rough areas have been removed and sanded. Then model is thoroughly prepped and primed prior to painting.
